Photoshoot Day 1

Yesterday, 28th December, me and Steph had a photoshoot at the garden. The theme was girly nature look and another dramatic doll-ed up look. The doll-ed up photoshoot didn't turn up too good thanks to monkeys and the hot weather but today I did a mini photoshoot to complete the dolled-up photoshoot. So anyways, here's a link to all the pictures taken.

Tomorrow will be another photoshoot at the beach. I seriously need to do my research on posing cause I suck big time at it. Gawd.

Why I Don't Delete Crappy Pictures

Click to have a larger view. Had to arrange them like this coz there were too many pics!! =)

Fisheye- A must have lens if I'm getting a DSLR

A touch of Lomo

Shift-tilt tryout... The roads look like hot wheels toys

Another shift-tilt tryout...they look like doll house

B/W with a touch of tint

How many lanterns do you see?

Recognize him from Surf's Up?

I personally love this

Jelly Fish!!! Cool eh?

Old feeling to it.

Lomo-ness, abandoned this effect for sometime

I like how the pillars stand out after editing

Shift-tilt failure but I still like the outcome

Over-saturated but it'd different, right?

Over-write the original by mistake

Another picture that had been over-writed by mistake

Another zombie FAILED...

Been trying for like 3 years to photoshop myself into a zombie, scary thing but I always F.A.I.L
Why? Why? Why?
Sigh I'm gonna watch a movie can't photoshop no more... T.T
The left eye and the mouth is my biggest mistake...sigh so much for merging and saving without spot checking.

Vampire Diaries

EDITED VERSION              ORIGINAL VERSION

Wished that was my vampire bf... sigh few more weeks to go before I'll see you again, Stephen Salvotore

Purple Hue

Took me 10 mins to do this including a re-do. Kinda nice effect something different from a normal colored photograph. Ran out of pictures to use so I went ahead and choose a picture of the late Brittany Murphy. T.T
I loved her...

Pretty easy to do actually just play around with the blending modes and thats it.

RIP Brittany Murphy

Spot the difference...

Gave manual dynamic black and white editing a try and this is what I've came up with within 5 mins of playing around.

The Difference:

Dynamic Black and White equals to a more contrasting picture hence the word dynamic. No soft lights were added because it was not appropriate for the kind of pictures I used. On the other hand, auto black and white which can be generated easily in a few seconds looks a little dull.

I like all the dynamic editing except for the last one...The original picture was exposed sigh...so it looks weird overall.

The Editing:

Not as simple as clicking desaturate, auto tone, auto color, auto contrast...that's for the easy b/w effect. The editing process consist of image repair, and manual coloring with the brush tool. So that you can give certain area a better contrast and highlight and not an overall contrast.

The Verdict:

Left: Manual Dynamic B/W
Right: Auto B/W in PS

Computer Graphics Final Project
Concept:
An overview of history overtime of those who invented and discovered things that became very useful to us today. The first picture shows Sir Issac Newton and his discovery of gravity. Second picture is Leonardo da Vinci and his artistic skills comprising of paintings and engineering sketches. Third is the Montgolfier brothers which the hot air balloon invention. Fourth is the invention of clock which has no specific person in particular who had invented it. Fifth is the radio which was also an evolution invention from the wireless telegraph. Lastly would be the invention of light bulb by Thomas Alva Edison. The reason why I choose to use these people and examples of their work to be displayed in on of the art class is so that when students look at it they would feel inspired and learn that success comes with failure hand in hand. On one of the wall, is a picture of a tree with birds sitting on it, the concept of this is that the tree symbolizes the school, lecturer or the educator. The birds are us students who fly and sit on the tree almost like students coming to school to gain knowledge and then when they had gained they would fly off to pursue their dreams. In this case the tree is used to represent the educators because tree's are always known to be old and wise as what we could say that the educators are wise and experienced.

A new blog with a new purpose

Pheww! Just deleted a whole bunch of blog posts from the past. Like I said I wanna revamp this blog and make it more suited to my life now. And I'll probably be posting up my artworks and such here because I'm planning for it to be like a little portfolio. More deleting is needed but I'm tired of deleting for now. =)

So welcome =)

Book-O-holic Syndrome

These are the books that I've read recently since holidays started... My thoughts:

New Moon: Boring, too much Jacob in there.

Vampire Diaries: The Awakening : Can't say much coz I know the story from watching the series but it's better then New Moon by a dozen.

The Art of French Kissing: LOL! took me forever to read this, borrowed from Mel during mid sem break I think. It's pretty nice for a light read.

These are the books that I've been reading lately,

Eclipse: hmm....better than New Moon but the Twilight Series don't appeal to me no more.

The Alchemist: LOVE THIS BOOK! Added to the list of my all-time faves!

Sweetness In The Belly: I read a few pages before...but so far I haven't resumed my reading yet...But will do soon.

Like my new layout??

Cool eh? I <3>
I'm very p.r.o.u.d of myself for spending my holiday time super duper wisely unlike the other holidays I've ever had 19 years of my life. It may be too soon to rejoice but let's hope I keep this up.

So, what am I doing during the holidays??
Besides the usual, spending time with friends, family, xmas preparation la-di-da-di-da...
I have a mini resolution...and the only reason why this 'resolution' is working this time is coz i made it especially for this holidays, after its over...It may not necessarily be valid anymore. But I've learned that by making shorter, smaller, resolutions it helped me work towards it as opposed to a huge-ass new year's resolution which FAILED everytime till i eventually gave up on it.

So,

  1. Sleep early/ Wake up early (Yes, no more vampirism!)
  2. Workout!!! (First time in my life I'm actually excited for this!)
  3. Take care of my 'very bad and neglected' skin (So far so good!)
  4. Be more healthy!!
  5. Read =)

So very little resolution = A very good start for me!

And please, please, please don't laugh when I say I wanna workout and be more healthy, I really want to...LOL...I'm not really the type who wants to be unhealthy so that's easy but the workout part needs alot of motivation =)

Hope everyone would have a great holiday!! weeeeeeeee~~
